
It was the first production zoom lens for a still camera. This landmark lens was designed by Frank G Back (1902-1983) and introduced in 1959. A locking rotating tripod mount with 1/4" 20 and 3/8" threads. focusing distance of 15', pre-set aperture of f4-f45, clean aperture blads.

The coated glass is clear and free of any haze and abrasions, just a couple of small coating spots on front elements, and some balsam lines at the very edge of element, only a 1/4" into the glass (please see pictures) both issues are very small and does not have any effect no the optical quality of the image.

Considering its age, overall this lens is in excellent condition. This lens comes with rapid focusing handle, shade and original Kilfitt case, also included is the Kilfitt shoulder stock. This is a all black newer style lens with a rapid focusing system, it is not the older version with the f5.6 aperture.
